Slow Resonances explores urban Australian life at a reduced pace. When returning to a city from remote locations, I would notice that my ability to relate to my surroundings becomes desensitised by the pace of living.
During the lockdowns of 2020 and 21, when daily life was temporarily paused, I explored and observed my own-now frozen- neighbourhood. Through paired images, this work explores the subtle and forgotten resonances that exist between friends, family, neighbours and myself with our everyday surroundings.
