In a nation containing 1/7th of the world’s population landscapes become vehicles for intersections. Perhaps nothing is in isolation. Extreme density, spiritual devoutness and the increasingly present influences of a globalised world see opposites marry in a myriad of profound and unconsidered ways. These photographs are my experience of the inevitable contrasts that perhaps shape our future and challenge our past.
